    8man Visor is a big step towards the transparency of directory permissions and the cyclical verification of permissions.

    8Man Visor is an excellent tool for transparent visualization of directory permissions. It detects unnecessary duplicate permissions and recursions, and displays empty groups. Reporting can be used to create both reports about people (where the person has access) and the directories (who has access). The visor is a good start if you can not implement the Enterprise version (which will eventually allow you to reorganize the permissions).
