8MATE Exchange

Transparency and overview in Microsoft Exchange

The 8MAN module for clean mailbox permissions

In Microsoft Exchange, public folders and mailboxes are a way to collect, edit, and manage information together. In these folders, every authorized user can also assign authorizations and define rules (forwarding, substitution, etc.). However, the more intensively these possibilities are used, the more confusing the authorization situation becomes in the course of time. 8MATE Exchange gives the administrator a clearly structured, graphical overview.

Basic information:

increased safety level
through clearly visible
users' rights

Uniform surface
for Exchange and
File server permissions

Overview and
Administration of
Group memberships.

perfect overview
about the access rights
public folder

Answer questions like
"Who sends mails
in whose name? "

Authorization analysis
without access to the
Contents of the folder

Features of 8MATE Exchange

Who is allowed what where for whom?

Knowing who can send mails in whose name or whether an e-mail address no longer records any entries due to forwarding was previously difficult for administrators to determine. In the case of public folders, the missing inheritance structure, together with the often numerous subfolders, in which each entitled person can also assign rights, quickly leads to the hardly controllable chaos of entitlement. With the 8MATE Exchange, the overview is only a mouse click away.

Legal transparency while maintaining the confidentiality of the content

Transparency of rights, not the contents of a folder: The 8MATE Exchange displays all permissions of a user without having to access the contents of the folder itself. The confidentiality of user data is maintained at all times.

Graph permissions

Until now, authorizations could only be read out with great effort (Powershell or web service). The 8MATE Exchange offers a clear, graphic overview for all authorization levels in an uncomplicated way.

View and change group properties

All group properties of a user in public folders or in mailboxes are displayed and can be changed through 8MAN in the Active Directory. Proxy rules over groups can be assigned for a limited time.

This is a very good tool to get an overview on the settings of the individual mailboxes on an exchange server 2010.
The following can be seen per mailbox at a glance:
occupied size, forwarding (unfortunately not where to), absence, to send on behalf and who has access to the mailbox
    Best regards
