8MAN integration workshops

for a smooth start

8MAN is the optimal solution for the daily problems around account and authorization management. Since the start of the project in the year 2009, the product has been continuously developed and now contains a multitude of useful functions. Unfortunately, these are too often used by the customer only to a small extent.

The company Protected Networks GmbH was co-founded by our managing director Thomas Gomell and the product design was significantly influenced by his experience and specifications. So who would be better suited for these workshops than the company founder and inventor of 8MAN himself.
Although designed as a solution for easy integration, it is highly recommended to accompany the introduction by a specialist because of the increased functionality. Just because of the variety of functions, one should understand the implementation of 8MAN as a process and plan to achieve the greatest benefit.

As preparation, we recommend our two-day workshop for the optimal alignment of the integration process.

The following questions are highlighted in the workshop:

• Which functions should be used by 8MAN?
• Should users and groups be created and provisioned via 8MAN?
• Should the extended provisioning options be used by scripts?
• What organizational preparations must be made for the introduction?
• What technical preparations must be made for the introduction?
• Can the existing file system be administered directly with 8MAN or does it have to be migrated?
• Should the DataOwner be integrated into the processes?
• Which modules can / should be used in the future?
• What is the optimal authorization strategy for YOUR file server?
• Preparation of your file system for the use of the group wizard
• Training for the optimal use of the group wizard
• Transfer of 8MAN to the User Helpdesk
• Introduction to creating users and groups via 8MAN
• Integration of other systems in 8MAN (via scripting interface)
• Analyze and report auditor and revision permissions

After the workshop we accompany you, partially or completely, until 8MAN runs with you!
