tenfold release 2018 is here
A highlight: the workflow editor according to BPMN standard
The new release tenfold 2018 is now available. The new version of the User and Permission Management solution has been significantly redesigned, especially under the hood, and has been enhanced with some particularly interesting features. But also the new possibilities to replace scripts and menus with visual elements, have it all. For 300 existing customers, the update is now available free of charge.
Plugins - Third-party systems are now connected via easy-to-configure plugins that are installed and updated via the integrated tenfold Marketplace. The plugins provide the new basis for all tenfold function packages Essentials, Essentials NEVER and Enterprise, Due to the easy integration of the plugins and the configuration via an appropriate user interface, scripting in over 90% of cases becomes unnecessary. Plugins are currently available for AD users and groups, for Exchange Server, SAP R / 3, SAP R / 4HANA and Microsoft Office 365. All other connections and interfaces, previously known as connectors, will gradually be made available as plugins by the end of the year.
Workflows - Based on the complete BPMN standard (Business Process Model and Notation), workflows are created using graphic elements without scripting being necessary. In addition, the respective graphic provides information on the status of the request and documents it in an audit-proof manner.
Exchange Administrator - With the Exchange plugin it is now possible not only to report mailbox authorizations, but also to administer them. The user's mailbox becomes part of his user lifecycle and is automatically adapted by tenfold to changing circumstances such as a change of location or department. All processes are automatically documented and meet the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation for traceability.
Scripting Plugins - Scripting in a software solution is perceived by many administrators as a half-baked solution and we ourselves are happy to see most of the scripting activities banned from the tenfold integration thanks to the plugin system. But experienced administrators, who have Powershell, SSH and Groovy in their blood, can now integrate their own scripts directly into tenfold thanks to their own plugins.
Cloud - Support for new cloud technologies is consistently promoted. For example, it is possible to manage users and authorizations in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.
