tenfold 2018 Release Notes

We are pleased to announce the availability of tenfold 2018. The following improvements and new features are included:

New Features

  • ISM-5728 certificate management
    Using the new certificate management mask, it is possible to exchange HTTPS and LDAPS certificates via the web interface.
  • ISM-5923 Conversion of Authorization-Based Approval Workflows to BPMN Approval Workflows
    A new button on the edit workflow edit screen should allow authorization-based approval workflows to be converted to BPMN approval workflows. It merely changes the type of approval workflow. The approval steps themselves must be adjusted manually in the BPMN diagram.
  • ISM-5893 New icon for the menu item Controlling Areas
    In order to ensure a better visual differentiation between the menu items "Cost centers" and "Controlling areas", the menu item "Controlling areas" uses a new icon.
  • ISM-5821 master templates for e-mail templates
    With the new master templates it is possible to create templates that can be used in the standard e-mail templates. So things that are the same in all e-mails sent by tenfold can be maintained centrally in a template.
  • ISM-5755 domain accounts as resources
    When the Active Directory plug-in is used to manage Microsoft Active Directory (primarily new installations), domain accounts are mapped as resources. These can eg be added to people and removed, as well as locked and unlocked.
  • ISM-4222 Configurable field mappings for third-party systems
    It is now possible to configure field mappings for third-party systems. These are needed primarily for plugins.
  • ISM-5689 Administration of Branch Types
    Branch types can now be administered via the tenfold interface.
  • ISM-5692 Administration of security issues
    The password security questions can now be administered via the tenfold interface.
  • ISM-5920 Active Directory Groups: More information about people to map
    When searching for people on the "Active Directory Groups" page that should be assigned to a group, you can now get more information about the people by clicking on the info icon next to the people.
  • ISM-5905 Hide resource options during self-service
    When configuring the options when editing a resource, you can now specify whether the option should be displayed in Self-Service or should be required.
  • ISM-5899 direct links to self-service for resources
    It is now possible to access direct links to specific self-service sites.
  • ISM-5830 Edit Person, Expert Mode: Display Username at Resource
    In the expert mode of the "Edit person" page, the user name is now displayed in the tree next to the name of the resource, if one is available.
  • ISM-5743 New license format
    The license files have been converted to a new format with new possibilities adapted to the progress of tenfold.
  • ISM-4194 Exchange: Set Permissions
    tenfold now supports the editing of permissions on mailboxes and folders of the Microsoft Exchange server. Additional features are the setting of "send as", "on behalf of" and the recording of out-of-office messages. In addition, deputies with all possible permissions for mailboxes can be edited.

Bug Fixes

  • ISM-4610 Manager field is not deleted in AD
    Although in tenfold the superior field has been emptied, the field remains filled in the AD.
  • ISM-5929 master data record can be deleted in the "Show person" mode
    Additional master data records can be deleted in the "Show person" mode.
