The access regulation through the targeted granting of access rights to file servers and Active Directory is enforced with 8MAN (Segregation of Duties). The actual access to a folder or a file is checked and logged with the 8MAN module "8MATE Logga" for your file server or Active Directory.

This file-level control may be necessary if, for example, access and access attempts must be documented for regulatory or contractual reasons. In this way, the 8MATE Logga clearly shows who performed which action (read, modify, create, delete). The 8MATE Logga for Fileserver supports NetApp and Windows file servers.

With the new functionality 8MATE alerts Department managers (Data Owners) and administrators are informed in a timely and clear manner about security-relevant events in the company network. With Release 7.0, the 8MATE Alerts reports reset passwords and blocked user accounts. In addition, you can be informed about new, indirect group members.

File access in critical and sensitive areas. - Was a file read, written, created or moved? Has an access permission been changed?

Report 2:

Where did changes take place? Was a file written or a permission changed?

Report 3:

Was there unauthorized access? Which accesses or access attempts were made by unauthorized users?
